Alimony

Alimony, also known as maintenance is a monetary amount awarded in either a divorce or a legal separation.  It is authorized in Kentucky pursuant to KRS 403.200.  It is largely based on the bulleted factors listed below and can be awarded on different payment schedules or in a lump-sum amount.
